Interested in the MA Cultural Anthropology at JGU? To finance your program of study, the You and Europe Scholarship Programme is available, offered by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. in cooperation with the German National Academic Foundation. The fellowship is aimed at European students who wish to complete their entire master’s degree at a German higher education institution and have a strong interest in European exchange.
The fellowship program is open for the upcoming round for the following countries: Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Croatia, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, and Cyprus.
The fellowship program is aimed at students of all subjects and for binational programs of study at universities and higher education institutions. It is not available for students at arts and music academies, nor at universities of applied sciences in the programs of study of Fine and Performing Arts, Design, Film, and Music.
The fellowship includes the following benefits:
- A fellowship of at least €300 to a maximum of €1155 per month (plus additional benefits such as health insurance, family allowance, etc.), which is calculated based on income (the BAföG calculator can be used as a reference).
- Two annual networking meetings on European topics and optional participation in Europe-specific educational programs of the German National Academic Foundation. Accommodation, meals, and program fees are covered, and travel expenses are subsidized.
- Inclusion in the Peer Program of the German National Academic Foundation. Upon request, the German National Academic Foundation appoints a fellowship recipient at the higher education institution who serves as a direct contact person for newcomers and advises and supports them on site.
- For students from EU countries and EU accession countries, inclusion in the fellowship program of the German National Academic Foundation.
To apply for the program, students must first be nominated by a professor. Nominations can be made until 15 March 2025. The deadline for submitting all application documents is 31 March 2025. Submissions are made digitally via the program website www.you-and-europe.de.
